- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I wanted to apply for the Citibank secured credit card because I heard they had a great program for building your credit. The banker suggested that I should open a checking account to make depositing the money easier. 2 weeks later and I'm still trying to resolve the problem that Citibank ran my credit 2 times on 2 different days causing my credit score to lose 9 points just for the extra inquiry (both HARD inquiries). Long story short...I cannot get any of their departments to own up to the mistake. Their application dept. blamed the banker at the branch and the branch blamed the application dept. No one has gotten back to me to confirm that they will take back one inquiry. Now almost 3 weeks...still no resolution.By Bobby Doan, November 27, 2016
